Don't order the jajangmyeon; it's very disappointing. The sauce was clumpy, almost as though it wasn't heated up enough, and didn't cling to the noodles. It reminded me of plain gelatin in the way it just couldn't be mixed and lacked flavor. The noodles were also your basic fettuccine noodles. I also asked for the haemul jajangmyun, but didn't get it. I've next y had jajangmyun this bad before. Do Not Order It Here. BUT.... The ban chan was really good. I normally don't eat kimchi at Korean restaurants because it's never made well. This was the exception! It was fermented just the way I like it. The rice was also cooked with flax seed and it was nom, nom, nom. It's like pseudo Kong bap. We ordered the pajun and bin dae duk. While they were slightly thicker than homemade, they were so yummy. The doenjang sauce was nicely balanced as was the cho ganjang. The server was very nice. Normally, we were only supposed to get 3 egg rolls because of the meals that were ordered. We were a party of 4 and were given an extra one. Holy cow! It was the best egg roll any of us had eaten. That was just the tip of the iceberg. For the table, we ordered the dogani tang(the cartilage soup) and it more than made up for my miserable jajangmyun. This was very good Korean food. I'll be back.
Been coming to Seoul kitchen since they located at other address. Their food are delicious. Eventhough they print a new menu book, they always have some new menu that are not in the menu list
Excellent and authentic Korean food. Locally owned and operated. Grant and Swan location is now closed. I hear they are moving to Golf Links and Wilmot soon
Seoul Kitchen lives up to its clever moniker. It's a cozy little restaurant that was running slow on a Thursday night. We were seated immediately and were waited on attentively as the only patrons in this place. They have a TV playing Korean dramas and lots of Asian decor. We ordered the mandu (similar to gyōza), dolsot bibimbap, and the BBQ pork and chicken combo. They started us with complimentary miso which had a weird sour aftertaste. Our appetizer came out as a Kimchi pancake (not what we ordered) but I wasn't too upset because it was pretty tasty. Both entrees came out in sizzling bowls and platters and portions were quite large. We probably could have shared the combo. They also gave three four different sides. Overall good food and service at a mid to high price ($40 for an appetizer and 2 entrees).
We went with a Korean friend who helped us find fascinating and delicious food. Sadly, only her dish was underwhelming. A noodle dish, she thought the noodles tasted like packaged pasta and the sauce lacking much taste. However, everything else we ordered was delicious. The pancakes were great as were the egg rolls. The assorted kimchee was pretty good stuff. I usually avoid all the sides in Korean restaurants, but I found my chopsticks going back for more. The ambiance is simple, but the service is good and the place clean. Often I find Korean restaurants have an off-putting odor of too much red pepper flakes, but this place was fine. I think this little restaurant is particularly good for small groups looking to share the best of Korean food.
